Mirwaiz pays tributes to Rayees Ahmad Dar

Hurriyat (M) chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq who continues to be under house arrest, paid tributes to Rayees Ahmad Dar of Kakpora who was killed in gunfight with the state forces and expressed sympathy and solidarity with his parents. Remembering the Aali Kadal Martyrs on their martyrdom anniversary Mirwaiz said the supreme sacrifices of martyrs of Kashmir for the just struggle of the right to self determination was the real resource of the ongoing resistance movement, which can never be forgotten.
According to a statement issued to KNS, meanwhile Hurriyat (M) expressed grave concern over the mysterious death of Tauseef Ahmad Peerzada, a B.E. 1stsemester Kashmiri engineering student studying at Shikavati Engineering College in Rajasthan. Such incidents prove that Kashmiri students, traders, and people visiting various parts of India for different purposes were not safe. Hurriyat spokesman strongly denounced the continued house arrest of the Hurriyat (M) Chairman after his release from solitary confinement from sub jail, veteran resistance leader Syed Ali Geelani and other resistance leaders, and arrests of hundreds of youth and termed it as a frustration of the ruling class and their defeat in their so called" battle of ideas."
The spokesman condemned the police action of raids, arrests and violence at Aloosa Ashtaingo.
Expressing sorrow over the gutting of over a dozen residential houses at Buchwara Dalgate, Srinagar and Sopore in devastating fires, Hurriyat (M) spokesman conveyed sympathy with the affected families and urged volunteer and welfare organizations to come forward and help these families as they had been rendered homeless in these chillily winters.
