JKLF senior leader Javed Ahmad suffers major heart attack during police raid

(Srinagar):Senior JKLF leader Javed Ahmad Zargar has suffered a major heart attack during a police raid on his residence last evening. He was immediately shifted to SMHS hospital where doctors immediately started his treatment and after rigorous efforts for many hours succeeded to bring him to consciousness. He has been shifted to ICU cardiology now where doctors are taking his necessary medical examinations.
According to a statement issued to media, JKLF leader's residence was raided by police men in civvies last evening that immediately after entering his residence started a rigorous search of his residence. Unwanted and illegal Search operation and highly regrettable attitude of police men mentally and emotionally tortured Javed Zargar and he felt severe pain in his chest. He complained of the same but police officers and personal remained unmoved and continued their vandalizing his households. His wife and small kid with the help of his cousin, who was luckily visiting him at the time of the raid, leaving his residence and belongings at the mercy of raiding police party, immediately rushed him to Florence hospital where doctors declared him critical and advised him to be shifted quickly to SMHS hospital. With Allah almighty's grace Javed Ahmad Zargar reached the said hospital in time and with the help of doctors and other medical staff of SMHS escaped death after many hours. He is now in ICU cardiology where doctors are taking his medical tests and are constantly looking after his health. The ironical part of this story is that the police party who's unwanted and illegal action brought Javed Ahmad Zargar to the brink of death, without feeling any respect for human life continued the search operation at his residence and did not even bother to look into what had happened to their victim.
JKLF chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik while strongly condemning the raid on Javed Zargar's residence and inhuman and criminal behavior practiced by of police after his heart attack, has said that so-called rulers and their police and civil administration has actually crossed every limit of shame and callousness and for proving themselves more loyal than the king have trampled all human values and civilized human behaviors.
After raiding a known political leader's residence who has served more than 13 years in jail, police saw his fading health but instead of trying to save his life continued the search operation without any one from his family being on spot and even not bothering about his life, this shows the criminal mindset of so-called rulers and their authorities, asserted JKLF chairman. He said that according to the law of retribution, so-called rulers, their police and civil authorities will have to answer for their criminal acts like these and that these cowardly acts can never succeed in defeating the passion and valor of Kashmiris who are striving for their freedom.
Meanwhile JKLF has strongly condemned the nocturnal police raids in Haigam Sopore and adjacent areas during which many people have been arrested and detained. Terming these raids and arrests as undemocratic, JKLF strongly condemned this police highhandedness.
JKLF also has expressed anguish over the demise of the mother of an incarcerated youth Muhammad Shafi of Karimabad Pulwama who despite the death of his mother is languishing in Kotbalwal jail Jammu. JKLF has also expressed condolences on the sad demise of the niece of JKLF senior activist Manzoor Ahmad of Bogam Budgam and has expressed solidarity with her bereaved family. JKLF leaders Ashraf Bin Salam and Gulzar Ahmad Pahalwan visited the bereaved family and expressed condolences to them.
